This eating template is a great foundation for long-lasting health and is the dietary plan I follow in particular.

It is designed to reduce inflammation in your body by incorporating more nutrient-dense, whole foods, and reducing the intake of many of the common inflammatory and allergenic foods, which can greatly contribute to the disease process.

These common inflammatory foods include:

  • Processed and fried foods
  • Animal milks and cheeses
  • Wheat, barley, rye, spelt, kamut, and all gluten containing foods
  • Peanuts
  • Corn
  • Eggs (especially conventional)*
  • Soy
  • Shellfish (crab, lobster, shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters)*
  • Refined-sugar
  • Meat, from conventionally raised, grain fed animals (wild, grass-fed, organic free-range, pasture-raised meats are best)*
  • Alcohol

*While these are nutrient-dense food sources, not everyone’s body responds well to them. When consuming these foods, sourcing and quality matters!
